 Highland Lynx Breed

The Highlander Cat is a mix breed between the Desert Lynx and the Jungle Curl breeds. The Highlander Cat breed dates back to 1995. The Highlander is very intelligent  cat, they are athletic, energetic, and super smart, so you will need to provide a living environment for them that will keep them mentally satisfied. This breed mix makes for very people-friendly cats and great family pets. These felines enjoy being around humans and interacting with them. They are very affectionate, social and loving.  In many cases they are more dog- like, they can be taught to play fetch, walk on a leash, and more. The Highlander is a medium to large cat weighting from 10 to 25 pounds. The Highlander is a mixed breed cat with a wide range of colors and patterns. It's common to see them with solid coat colors or with tabby or lynx point markings. Some characteristics include Bobtails, Polydactyl Feet, and Curled Ears. They can have long tail (LT), hock or Rumpy, Natural shortTail (NST) and each cat can be different. Polydactyl (Poly) cats can have anywhere from four to seven on front and/or hind paws, each cat is different. Curled Ears (CE) Some cats will often have Curled or Straight Ears.  Highlanders are generally considered to be healthy cats. Although, they can predisposed to the same conditions that the Dessert Lynx and Jungle Curl breeds face. Highlanders have the same life expectancy as any domestic cats.
